Return and Refund Policy – Prakash Jewellers, Dadar
At Prakash Jewellers, Dadar (Since 1965), we strive to ensure a smooth and transparent experience when it comes to returns, exchanges, and refunds.
1. Product & Warranty
• We offer 92.5 sterling silver jewellery as well as premium gold-plated metal jewellery.
• Silver jewellery is long-lasting and may naturally oxidize (darken) over time due to exposure to air, moisture, perfumes, and chemicals. This is normal and can be restored with proper cleaning.
• Gold-plated jewellery may fade or lose shine over time depending on usage and care.
• Most of our products can be repolished or re-plated to restore their original finish.
• Exception: Certain designs may not support repolishing or replating. Such cases will be clearly mentioned in the product description.
2. Repairs
• If your jewellery gets damaged during use, you can share images with our support team.
• We will assess whether the piece can be repaired. Most items can be fixed unless specific stones/components are unavailable.
• In such rare cases, we will offer suitable alternatives or redesign options.
• The product must be shipped back to us by the customer.
• Repairs are a chargeable service, depending on the extent of work.
3. Repolishing & Gold Plating
• We provide repolishing and gold plating services to restore shine and finish.
• Over time, fading or dullness is natural and not a manufacturing defect.
• Products can be repolished multiple times, subject to design feasibility.
• All such services are chargeable and will be communicated after inspection.
4. Returns / Exchange (Change of Mind)
• If you do not like the product (size, look, finish, etc.), you may request a return within 48 hours of delivery.
• You must inform us within this time along with product images.
• After approval, the product should be shipped back safely via a reliable courier.
Important Conditions:
• The product must be unused, in original condition, and with packaging intact
• Once received and verified, we will issue STORE CREDIT only
• No refunds will be made to bank account / card / cash
• Store credit can be used anytime on future purchases
Non-Eligible Returns:
• Customized or personalized jewellery
• Products purchased during offers (entire order must be returned if applicable)
• Products bought from physical stores or exhibitions
• Items damaged during return shipping
5. Damaged / Tampered Package
• If your package appears tampered or damaged, please do not accept it
• We strongly recommend that you record a clear unboxing video for every order, starting from opening the sealed package till the product is fully visible
• You must also take clear photos and videos of:
- Outer packaging
- Inner packaging
- Product condition
• All proofs (video + photos) must be shared with our team within 8 hours of delivery
6. Exchange / Replacement Timeline
• Once the returned product reaches our Mumbai center and passes quality check:
- Replacement will be shipped within 3–5 working days
- Delivery will follow standard shipping timelines
• In case the same design is not available, we will initiate a full refund, which will be processed within 7–8 working days
7. Inventory / Availability
• In rare cases where a product is unavailable after ordering:
- We will try to remake it
- If not possible, you will be offered:
Store credit
Alternate product
Full refund (exception case)
• Certain products may be made-to-order, and timelines will be communicated accordingly.
Important Note
Jewellery is delicate by nature. Wear & tear, fading, scratches, or oxidation over time are normal and depend on usage, storage, and care. These are not considered manufacturing defects.
